About Me

Ms. Broughton concentrates her practice on health care regulatory and compliance matters, which includes the representation of various industries within the healthcare landscape, such as substance abuse and addiction treatment facilities, pharmacies, home health agencies and medical spas.

Prior to joining the Florida Healthcare Law Firm, Ms. Broughton gained experience in healthcare compliance and also served as an insurance defense attorney, particularly with regard to medical malpractice, personal injury and wrongful death cases. Ms. Broughton received her undergraduate degree in Business & Organizational Communication from the University of Kentucky, and she received her Juris Doctor degree from the Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University, where she graduated magna cum laude. In law school, Ms. Broughton was an active member of the Health Law Society, Transactional Law Group, Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity and she earned the Excellence for the Future Award in her Legal Research and Writing course. Also during law school, Ms. Broughton interned for the Business Practice Group of a large Fort Lauderdale law firm and interned briefly in the behavioral health and clinical laboratory spaces.
